Company Newsletters: Titleist professional shot setups
Knowledge is power...
If I have advice for golfers it is to sign up for your favorite equipment maker's newsletters, and check out their sites regularly.
So far, I have found that the winner is TaylorMade/Adidas and companies. These guys have their game together, and have the most regular updates and newsletters. Callaway is not bad, but most others, Cleveland, Ping, and Titleist just do not produce a regular newsletter.
I think since I signed up a couple of months ago I have received one newsletter from Ping, which was announcing their G5 line being released this month.
On anther note, I found something fascinating at the Titleist website. They have a quick and dirty series of videos where the pros (those who use Pro V1 balls, not sponsored by Titleist per se) tell you their setup for a shot, their rituals, and what their thought process is.
Check it out, you will see Mike Weir, Veejay Singh, and Ernie Els to name a few:

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
So, Labour Day is upon us... Time for some relaxation, and most importantly golf...
I will leave you with this little tip I found common to almost every pro golfer's pre shot routine:
Plant your tee, sit the ball on it, then step out of "the box". Take a good look at your ball and target from behind the ball, and envision your shot and target. Some suggest picking a target such as a tree, or bunker, or other hazard that is just beyond where you intend to end up. Visualize, and let loose... Speaking of loose, don't tense up, keep your body and your swing loose and fluid.
I also found some good videos on the Grafalloy site... These are definitely worth a look...

Have a safe and happy holiday!
