A Tiger chasing a Bear...

Well, as much as the skeptics like to ride Tiger Woods, he has once again done what has consistantly made him the number one golfer in the world... Win

Another British Open title for Tiger, and another major under his belt.

This, his 11th major tournament win in his career, his first major win being the 1997 Masters.

His 11th major tournament win puts him in a career tie with the legendary Walter Hagen, and is the first player to have back to back wins in the open since Tom Watson did it in 1983.

This performance was far different from his unfortunate showing at the US Open; the first cut Tiger has missed in his professional career.

Now, Tiger is looking at chasing down the record set by the Golden Bear; Jack Nicklaus' record of 18 major championship wins. By surpassing such legends as Arnold Palmer, Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, and Gary Player, Tiger Woods has established himself as a legend in the annals of professional golf.

Can the Tiger catch the Bear? I say yes, and I think you would agree. At only 31 years of age, Tiger Woods has the potential to establish himself as the winningest, if not the greatest golfer the game has seen.

There is however, still a long road to catching the Golden Bear; good luck Tiger!
